The biomass briquette machine is the briquette machine for making compact and high-density sawdust briquettes from various biomass. The sawdust briquette maker is an environment-friendly and efficient charcoal briquette equipment, which is widely used in the biomass energy production. The sawdust briquettes produced by the machine are widely used as biofuel in home fireplace fuel, boiler heating, steam power generation in power plants, barbecues and other fields and is considered the best substitute for black coal and other fossil fuels.
Raw Materials
Sawdust, bamboo dust, bagasse, cotton stalks, coffee husks, peanut shells, rice husks, sunflower shells, straw, sugar factory waste, coconut shell and other waste materials and residues such as castor shells, tobacco stems, tea grounds, tree bark, weeds, shrubs and branches.
The raw materials require fineness within 5mm and moisture content between 8%~12%. Materials that are too large or wet are not easy to form and will increase wear and affect the quality of the finished product. The crushed and dried material can be used without adding any binder.
Finished Product
Generally, the outer diameter of the finished product is 50-60mm, the hole diameter is 15-20mm, and it is in the shape of a hollow square or hexagonal cylinder. It can also be customized into spherical, granular and honeycomb shapes according to your needs and requirements.
The Structure of Biomass Briquette Machine
Feeding Port: The raw materials is loaded into the biomass briquette machine through it.
Screw Propeller: It consists of a spiral blade rotating inside a cylindrical housing, pushing the biomass materials towards the compression chamber.
Compression Chamber: The compression chamber is where the actual briquetting takes place. It contains a piston that applies pressure to the biomass materials and a mold that determines the size and shape of the final briquettes.
Heating System: It is used to heat the biomass materials in the compression chamber, enhance the adhesion of them and promote briquetting.
Drive System: It drives the biomass briquette machine to operate normally.
Control Panel: Operator can monitor and adjust various parameters such as pressure and temperature.
Working Principle of Biomass Briquette Machine
Raw Material Pretreatment: Before entering the biomass briquette machine, the raw materials usually need to be preprocessed, such as crushing and drying to ensure better shaping.
Feeding: Input the raw materials into the biomass briquette machine through the feeding port.
Pressing and Molding: A high-temperature and high-pressure zone is formed under the action of the screw propeller and the heating ring to process the loose raw materials into hollow solid rods which has high density, small size and good flammability.
Features of Biomass Briquette Machine

- 7. Good Briquettes: The finished sawdust or wood briquettes by the biomass briquette machine have high density, small size, good flammability.
Application of Biomass Briquette Machine
Biomass briquette machine is utilized in various applications across different industries due to the ability to convert biomass waste into useful briquettes.
Cooking and Heating: Biomass briquettes produced by biomass briquette machine are an efficient and clean alternative to traditional cooking fuels such as firewood and charcoal.
Industrial applications: Biomass briquettes can be used as boiler fuel, as well as fuel in industries such as textiles, food processing and papermaking.
Biomass briquettes are a renewable energy source and are widely used in heating, cooking and power generation. They replace traditional fuels such as coal, wood and charcoal, reducing environmental pollution and resource waste.
