Introduction

The Structure of Horizontal Grinder

Hopper/Feeder: Where materials are loaded into. The feeder have a variable speed mechanism to control the rate at which materials are fed into the grinding chamber.

Grinding Chamber: Where the actual processing of materials takes place. It contains a rotating rotor equipped with cutting or grinding tools. The rotor spins horizontally, allowing for efficient grinding of the incoming materials.

Rotor: The rotor is a crucial component of the grinder, responsible for shredding and grinding the materials. It is usually equipped with various types of cutting or grinding tools, such as hammers, blades, or teeth, depending on the specific application and material being processed.

Screen: Beneath the grinding chamber, there is a perforated screen or grate. This screen helps control the size of the final output by allowing only particles of a certain size to pass through. Screens with different hole sizes can be used to achieve different particle sizes.

Discharge Conveyor: Once materials are sufficiently processed, they are discharged from the grinder via a conveyor belt or chute. The conveyor may transport the processed material to a storage pile, truck, or another processing stage.

Working Principle of Horizontal Grinder

Material Loading: Materials are loaded into the hopper or feeder of the grinder either manually or using auxiliary equipment such as a loader or conveyor.

Feeding and Grinding: The feeder mechanism regulates the flow of materials into the grinding chamber, where they come into contact with the rotating rotor. The rotor’s cutting or grinding tools shred and pulverize the materials into smaller particles.

Particle Sizing: As the materials are ground, they pass through the perforated screen or grate at the bottom of the grinding chamber. The screen helps control the size of the final output by allowing only particles of a certain size to exit the grinder.
