Working Process of Coal Briquette Production Line
Raw Material Selection:
This is where the process begins, with the selection of the raw materials. Raw materials for coal briquette production include coal, coal dust, coal fines, charcoal powder, coke powder, lime powder, carbon black, mineral powder (like nickel powder, silicon carbide).
Hammer Mill: Crushing
The hammer mill is used to reduce large coal chunks into smaller particles, making it easier to handle and mix during the briquetting process. The hammer mill with a rotating shaft with hammers is employed for high-speed pulverization of coal into small particles through the impact of swinging hammers.
Crushing helps to increase the surface area of the coal particles, making it easier to mix and form into briquettes. Once the coal has been sufficiently crushed, it is discharged through the discharge chute in the bottom of the crusher. The crushed materials then are conveyed to the next procedure via a belt conveyor.
Feeder Machine: Storing and Discharging
The feeder machine, also called silo, is actually a storage machine that temporarily stores the crushed raw materials and discharging them consistently and evenly to the next step.
The crushed coal materials temporarily enter the feeder machine via belt conveyor. There is a discharge port and a vibrating feeder below the silo. Vibrating feeder helps ensure a consistent flow of materials through the belt conveyor into the roller mixer. This helps maintain consistent production rates and prevents interruptions in the process.
Belt Conveyor: Transportation
The purpose of the belt conveyor is to move and transport materials at various stages of briquette production.
Roller Mixer/Wheel Grinder Mixer: Mixing
The wheel grinder mixer consists of two counter-rotating rollers.
The crushed material is fed from the feeder machine to the roller mixer through belt conveyor. As the rollers rotate, the pressure exerted by the rollers causes the crushed coal materials to mix thoroughly and evenly with the binder. The rollers also exert a shearing action on the materials to help break down any coal lumps, ensuring a uniform mixture. Once the mixing is complete, the mixture is discharged from the roller mixer.
This step ensures uniform distribution of coal particles and binders, crucial for achieving consistent briquette quality.
Briquette Machine: Briquetting
The briquette machine is where the coal briquettes are actually formed and central to this coal briquette production line.
The briquette machine applies pressure to the mixed coal material, compacting it into briquettes of desired shapes and sizes. The briquette machine can be equipped with different molds to produce coal briquettes of different shapes and sizes. Once coal briquettes are formed, the belt conveyor transports the newly formed briquettes to the drying area to dry.
Box Drying Machine: Drying
Drying is the final step of the coal briquetting production, where the briquettes are dried to remove any remaining moisture. This helps to improve the quality and stability of the briquettes for storage and transportation.
The charcoal briquette dryer, as known as box drying machine or drying room, is specialized to remove moisture from freshly made charcoal briquettes. Box drying machine uses hot air circulation to remove moisture from coal briquettes placed inside the box, speeding up the drying process.
Of course, you can also choose natural drying, but it may take a longer time.
